Holly is no ordinary student.
She’s wise, mature, confident,
And completely off-limits.

I know the rules, know the drill.
Yet, I can’t stop thinking about her.

About wanting to know her,
Touch her,
Taste her.

And when I do,
It changes everything,
Ruins it all.

Evan Marshall is more than my teacher.

He’s everything:
Smart, witty, insightful,
And incredibly sexy.

The more I see him,
The more he touches me,
The more I want.

But I know the boundaries,
And they’re blurring by the second.

Jessa York has been teasing her readers with this story for awhile now and I have been eagerly anticipating the chance to get my hands on this one ever since! Let’s just say that the wait was well worth it and I absolutely adored every moment of Holly and Evan’s emotionally captivating story.

Mr. Marshall’s Method is a student/teacher forbidden romance that was certainly not lacking in the HEAT department. The chemistry between Holly Anderson and Evan Marshall set my heart on fire and that intense ache didn’t ease up the entire time I was devouring their story. The author managed to perfectly tell their story, while making you feel everything. Their love was beautiful and the moment these two laid eyes on each other, it was all over. They were destined to be together, even if their situation was complicated…

Readers will be taken on a rollercoaster ride full of twists and turns that will leave you second guessing everything. If you are a fan of forbidden romance, you won’t regret picking up this story! Jessa York did a phenomenal job with her storytelling ability and character development with this one and I can’t wait to see what the next book, Professor Richter’s Rules, has to hold!

And Elijah?
Well, Elijah just wants out.

It was never his idea to go to Pembrook in the first place and now he’s stuck spending his senior year with a bunch of kids he has absolutely nothing in common with. Then, she came along. From the moment he meets Darcie Fitzgerald, he knows she is going to drive him absolutely crazy. But nothing could have prepared him for how amazing crazy would feel.

Darcie has ninety-nine problems and Elijah Benitez is now her biggest one. He seemed to coast into her life from out of nowhere, and she has neither the time nor the patience to deal with him. But every time she tries to put a little distance between them, life shoves them closer together and Darcie finds herself in a situation far more complicated than she could have ever expected.

They’re both about to learn a few things starting with lesson #1:
Not Everything Is As it Seems

Sticks & Stones by Santana Blair is a beautifully written modern day Pride & Prejudice retelling that will wholeheartedly captivate your heart right from the very beginning. This retelling was unlike anything I have ever read and I quickly found myself falling even more in love with the author’s writing. The author’s storytelling ability and character development was absolutely phenomenal and I couldn’t put this story down.

Eli and Darcie are from opposite sides of the tracks, and yet they soon discover that they aren’t as different as looks may appear. Their undeniable chemistry completely warmed my heart, body, and soul. Although this story is considered mature young adult, I can tell you that people of all ages will love it. This story wasn’t just about friendship and love, it was so much deep than that. It was absolutely everything I wanted and also so much more than I could have ever asked for!

About Santana Blair

Santana Blair has always been a storyteller. Even at an early age, she would spend hours losing herself in world building and creating stories to ensure even her Barbie dolls had the most enthralling lives. Ask any of her childhood friends and they’ll tell you it wasn’t uncommon for her to spend her days creating origin stories and legacies for all of their play sessions.

All of her imagination was fueled and/or enhanced by her lifelong love of books and writing.

Now, she’s all grown up and using the same passion for storytelling to create worlds of words.

She’s always been a sucker for a good love story in any form, so when she’s not reading or writing you could probably find her curled up with her favorite blanket and a good movie on a screen.

Her idea of a good time includes long walks through bookstores & stationery aisles.

Santana Blair lives in Connecticut with her husband and three kids, where she’s always brewing up a big cup of tea and her next story.

“You don’t go around kissing your best friend’s dad, do you? Even though that’s all you ever dream about.”

Violet Moore is in love with a man who hates her.

Well, to be fair, she kinda deserves it.

On her eighteenth birthday, she got drunk and threw herself at him, causing the biggest scandal of their sleepy suburban town.

Now, everyone thinks she’s a slut and he has disappeared. Rumor has it that he’s been living up in the mountains of Colorado, all alone and in isolation.

But Violet is going to make it right.

She’s going to find him and bring him back.

No matter how cruel and mean he is. Or how much he hurts her with his cold-hearted and abrasive ways, she won’t give up.

And neither will she think about his tempting lips or his sculpted muscles or his strong hands. The hands that she wants on her body, touching her, feeling her skin…

The hands that make her want to forget everything and kiss Graham Edwards – Mr. Edwards, actually — again.

Because you don’t go around kissing your best friend’s dad, do you?

Even though that’s all you ever dream about.

Dreams of 18 was exactly the story I have been craving for what seems like FOREVER and Saffron A. Kent definitely delivered above and beyond at the perfect time. She is ALWAYS my go to author when I want to escape reality for a few hours and she speaks to my forbidden romance and taboo lover soul. Ever since meeting Violet in Medicine Man I have be eagerly anticipating her story and it was not only EVERYTHING I wanted, but also so much more than I could have ever imagined.

Violet Moore and Graham Edwards wholeheartedly own my heart, body and mind. They have an undeniable connection, although Mr. Edwards sure seems determined to ignore that simple fact. Their love story was full of some many angsty moments and let’s just say I FREAKING love every one of those moments. The intensity these two shared was overwhelming at times and my heart felt like it was beating right out of my chest at times. Their story was breathtakingly beautiful and I devoured every word within a few short hours (it was impossible to put down).

This was one of my favorite books from Saffron A. Kent and with each new release I found new reasons to fall in love with her writing! She is a phenomenally talented author and I cannot freaking wait to see what she comes up with next because I know she will ALWAYS satisfy my taboo heart!

Review – The Vow (North Woods University #4) by J.L. Beck & C. Hallman

The Vow by J.L. Beck & C. Hallman
Series: North Woods University #4
Genres: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 4, 2019
Buy Now: Amazon

“We’re a match made in heaven but forbidden as sin.”

After tragedy struck, I vowed never to fall in love again.

For the last ten years, I kept that promise, never staying with a woman longer than it took to screw them.

Then she walked in…

Back then she was nothing but a little girl, but now she’s all grown up, with curves, and a smile that reminds me of everything I’ve spent the last ten years trying to forget.

My attraction to her is instant, and wrong, on so many levels. I’ll do anything I can, even make her hate me if I have too, to stop it.

She’s here to study, and I’m the newly appointed Dean.

I shouldn’t be tempted by a student, especially one who’s ten years younger than me.

And I definitely shouldn’t be developing feelings for her.

But I am…

Because as badly as I don’t want to admit it Lily might just be the one person to make me fall in love again.

That is if I can let go of the hold her dead sister’s memory has on my heart first.

**This is book four in the North Woods University Series. It can be read as a complete standalone and contains NO cliffhanger, NO cheating, and a HEA. Please be advised this series contains material not suitable for all readers. This is NOT a YA series.**

The Vow is a sexy and forbidden student/teacher(aka Dean) romance that spoke to the taboo lover deep in my soul. This dynamite duo took me on a rollercoaster ride full of feels that had my heart completely swooning in overdrive. The authors beautifully captivating storytelling ability wholeheartedly captivated every part of me and I absolutely adored every moment of Sebastian and Lily’s story. If you have read the other books in the North Woods University series, then you have probably been eagerly waiting for Sebastian’s story like me. I mean come on, who wouldn’t want his story?! I know I FREAKING did…that is FOR SURE!

Sebastian Miller just landed his dream job as the newly appointed Dean of North Woods University and things are going well until a blast from his past arrives suddenly out of nowhere. Lily Kline is the reminder of all that he has lost and she is the LAST person he should want, but he does. Their love is beyond forbidden and with so many obstacles standing in their way things are about to get tricky. Their story will take you on a ride full of twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end!

Sebastian and Lily’s story was hands down my favorite in the series (although it can certainly be read as a standalone)! There was so much to love and if you are a fan of this trope then you will LOVE their story too!

About Mandi Beck

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.

A wife, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met even though her favorite hockey player calls her…mom.

Review – Hate The Game (Love Games #1) by Winter Renshaw

Hate The Game by Winter Renshaw
Series: Love Games #1
Genres: New Adult, Sports
Release Date: September 25, 2019
Buy Now: Amazon

Talon Gold is a lot of things: good at football, bad at love. Obsessed with scoring, refuses to play by the rules. Cruel. Relentless. Brilliant. Intoxicatingly attractive.

Despite his demanding reputation and propensity for being the most arrogant a-hole ever to strut Pacific Valley University’s picturesque campus, everyone wants a piece of him: coaches, scouts, and pretty little campus fangirls with pouty lips and perfect top knots.

But Talon … he only wants a piece of me.

And four straight years of infuriating rejection means I’m almost positive he’d take a night with me over a national championship trophy.

But I’m no fool—he only wants me because he can’t have me. And with graduation approaching, time is running out. He’s more desperate than ever, pulling out all the stops and doing everything in his power to get in my good graces.

They say, “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”

But to that I say, “Why not both?”

I have my reasons …

Sorry, BMOC. This victory? Not going to happen.

Hate the Game by Winter Renshaw is a beautifully captivating slow burn new adult sports romance that had my heart all twisted up. Talon Gold and Irie Davenport were complete opposites, even if he knew she was the one that kept getting away. With college graduation upon them, neither one of them expect things to suddenly change, but one they did…there was no going back.

Winter Renshaw’s storytelling ability always manages to captivate my attention and her character development makes me feel immediately connected to them. The love story of Talon and Irie made my heart ache from all the excitement and I was definitely rooting for these two right from the start. The chemistry between them was heartwarming and the build up towards their happily ever after was full of angst. Oh and the sweetness factor was on point, which had me swooning!

There hasn’t been a single Winter Renshaw story that I haven’t loved yet and this book was no exception! I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on her next story because I am ready for more!
