Shay Gable hated my guts, and I hated hers, too.

We went out of our way to avoid one another at all times. When she came my direction, I went the other. When we locked eyes, she’d turn and walk away.

All of that changed the day I was presented with a challenge. It started out as a stupid bet: make Shay fall in love with me before I fell in love with her first.

That was an easy bet for me to win.
I didn’t love, I hardly liked.

Yet slowly the game started to shift. Shay made me crave things I never knew I wanted.

The closer we grew, the more she challenged my darkness, and the parts I kept locked away.

The hurts.
The pains.
The truth.

The game between us became too real, our feelings intermixed, and the risks of hurting one another grew higher.

But you know what they say…
All’s fair in the game of love and war—especially the heartbreaks.

Brittainy C. Cherry once again shows us how beautifully unique and raw her storytelling ability truly is with this emotionally captivating tale that will steal every inch of your heart…

Landon & Shay: Part One is only the beginning of this epic love story and I am already overwhelmingly invested in this couple. Their story will take readers on an unexpected journey that will leave them completely breathless as they inhale every word of this phenomenal coming of age romance.

Landon Harrison and Shay Gable are the kind of characters that are going to stay close to my heart and on my mind for a long time to come because their story has completely taken over my every thought since I reached the end of part one. AND what a perfect stopping point it was…I must stay. The author ends the first part of their journey at a significant moment in their lives that leaves us wanting more! I cannot freaking wait to get my hands on the next part, and I have no doubt it’s going to be amazing!

Worship by Ella James
Series: On My Knees Duet #1
Genres: MM Romance, Forbidden
Buy Now: Amazon

An epic, forbidden MM romance from USA Today Bestselling Author Ella James…

You think you know me.
That’s the way I want it.

Making you feel like we know each other–like we could go grab a beer sometime–is part of my job. Maybe the most vital part. It doesn’t hurt that I’m easy on the eyes, single at 35, and born richer than sin. My aesthetic matters much more than it should, but all the better for my worthy cause.

And it’s a worthy cause.

I’ve made an art out of making you feel good, and my influence makes you want to be good. Good like me. You think you know me, but you don’t.

Everyone has secrets. Mine could cost me everything.
So I’m a fortress. No one’s ever even gotten close.
Until tonight.

See that man, the tall guy dripping on the bow of my yacht? The one I just pulled from the ocean?

He’s the one who’s going to cost me everything.

If you haven’t read Worship by Ella James yet, then stop reading this review and go buy the book this instance. Trust me this is the kind of story that you want to go in completely blind…otherwise precede with caution because things are about to get real.

The moment Ella James announced this story I knew I needed to get my greedy little hands on it as soon as possible because I freaking love M/M romances and I had a strong feeling that this story was going to make me fall even more in love with this trope…and lets just say it totally did. This forbidden tale wholeheartedly captured my attention right from the first page and I couldn’t devour this story fast enough.

Vance Rayne and Luke McDowell’s insanely hot chemistry was intense from the very beginning and caused an ache deep in the pit of my stomach and sent chills down my spine as I inhaled every word. This is a brilliantly captivating story that will leave you completely breathless as you attempt to get your emotions under control. I definitely was not prepared for all the emotions I experienced while reading and now I am eagerly anticipating November 11 so that I can get my hands on, Adore, the conclusion of their epic romance!

Can a summer fling become the love of a lifetime?

Perpetual good girl Caterina Longo is dependable to a fault. At 33, she’s never called in sick. Never had a one-night stand. Never taken a chance in her entire life. When she walks in on a cheating ex and sees everything wrong with her life, she takes off on a solo vacation, busting out of her comfort zone and into the arms of a guy she never saw coming.

Joe Hunter has no room for distractions. Making his restaurant a success and proving his worth to his family—and himself—is his sole focus. At least it is until a beautiful stranger, in search of fried food and a shoulder, wanders in one night.

Is two weeks of unexpected, life-altering passion all they’re meant to share? What happens when vacation ends and real life takes over?

No Vacancy by Stephanie Rose was a beautifully heartwarming love at first sight romance that gave me all the warm and fuzzies deep inside my soul.

Caterina Longo’s entire life was turned upside down when she walked in on her longtime boyfriend with another woman. Fleeing to Ocean Cove a few days ahead of her friends seemed like the perfect solution at the time, what she didn’t plan on was meeting a man that would turn her entire world upside down in only a matter of days.

Joe Hunter, a local bar and restaurant owner, didn’t know what to expect when Caterina showed up in Ocean Cove late one night. Falling for a tourist was the last thing he expected to happen, but suddenly he finds himself wrapped around her. She’s about to capture his heart, even if neither one of them are ready for that.

There were sparks instantly flying between these two. The chemistry was dynamite and they wholeheartedly captivated every inch of my heart. Their instantaneous love story was steamy and had me swooning the entire time. There was so much to love about this couple and let’s not forget those supporting characters that made you fall in love with this story even more.

This might have been my first Stephanie Rose book, but it certainly won’t be my last!

Sick of living under her dad’s rules, Emerson Bender bolts when she’s eighteen. On her own for the first time, she heads to the only place her mom ever lived—New York City—desperate to find the woman who dropped her off on her dad’s doorstep.

Content to spend the rest of his life in Small Town, Pennsylvania, Price Barnes is plucked out of his idyllic life by his estranged father. Missing his mom and stepfather, he’s dropped in New York City to attend college and live an all-expenses paid lifestyle. Cushy, right? But not the life he wanted.

She’s looking to fill a hole in her heart, and he’s looking to forget the man who disrupted his life. Together, they’re both wandering, looking for acceptance and hoping to forget the rejection.

Rachel Blaufeld is a new to me author and I have to say that I am so freaking thrilled that I decided to give this story a chance because I absolutely loved it!

Wanderlove is a slightly angsty romance that wholeheartedly captivated my heart and put a bright smile on my face as I devoured every word. Price Barnes and Emerson Bender are not your average new adult love at first sight romance, and I loved their witty back and forth banter. These two clashed right from the very beginning and the build up towards their love story was highly addictive.

The character were well written and the storytelling was incredible. I truly enjoyed the journey that these characters and storyline took readers on. After reading this story, I can’t wait to check out more books from Rachel Blaufeld back collection.

Getting pregnant after a booze cruise hookup was not what any parent wanted to hear, so I picked up my entire life and moved to Paris to start over. Six years later, I was ready to go home.

I was a single mom and the only thing I knew about my son’s dad was his name—Luca. I didn’t need to know anything else.

The universe had other ideas because on our second day back home, the man came crashing back into my life.

Attending a welcome back party for my boss’s daughter wasn’t how I wanted to spend my Sunday. But walking in and seeing my hookup from a cruise six years ago knocks me on my ass.

It was a weekend of fun and now I’m seeing a pair of eyes, identical to mine, staring right at me. The boy standing next to her is my son.

Now we’re living next door to each other and attempting to co-parent something that would be easy to do if the pull that brought us together wasn’t still there making things more complicated.

For six years she haunted my dreams, now she’s haunting my every waking moment.

I let her get away once, now I want to make her mine.

This time, permanently.

Only one thing left to do. I have to tempt the hookup.

Two young college students meet on a booze cruise and get more than what they bargained for…

Tempt the Hookup by Natasha Madison is a sexy, sweet and hilarious romantic comedy that had me hooked right from the very beginning and I think this just might be my favorite book from the Tempt series so far, although all of the books can be enjoyed as standalones.

The author’s beautifully captivating storytelling ability and character development had me devouring every word of this story as quickly as I possibly could. Not only did we get to revisit some of our favorite characters from the previous books in the series, but we got to meet some new characters that captured my heart. Luca and Eliahn had undeniable chemistry, but my goodness let’s just say that Aiden (their son) had me swooning. These two have wholeheartedly stolen my heart completely and pulled on all of my heartstrings. Their chemistry was off the charts and I was totally in awe with the journey they went through and how they found their way back to each other. Let’s just say there are a few surprises in store for them!

Their chemistry inspired a generation. It’s been nearly a decade, can the spark be revived?

Jameson and Kinsey were sizzling hot magic together on-screen in Forever Kisses nine years ago, but as their relationship continued off screen, the real drama began. With the paparazzi chasing them down for every stolen cup of coffee together and their entire relationship being broadcast through tabloid channels, the relationship quickly fell apart. Hearts were broken, harsh words were hurled and ugly rumors spread like wildfire through the silver screen world.

Forever Kisses was destined to become an instant cult classic, but Jameson’s and Kinsey’s careers weren’t so lucky. The pair, who were once considered box office gold, were being whispered about as poison.

Now, they each need a box office hit, and Sawyer Croft, Forever Kisses’ director, is convinced he has the perfect project. Will Jameson and Kinsey find that chemistry they once had or will this be the final piece of heartbreak, the end of the movie and quite possibly their careers?

Tess Oliver definitely was not messing around when she named this story Chemistry, because undeniable sparks were flying high between Jameson and Kinsley right from the very beginning. This addictively captivating Hollywood romance was angsty as f*ck, emotionally heartbreaking, and breathtakingly beautiful. I never anticipated the emotional journey that these two characters would end up on, but HOLY SH*T did it cause my heart to drop down to the pit of my stomach.

This sexy and sassy read was absolutely phenomenal with its unique storyline with just the perfect combination of drama, humor and heartbreak all rolled up into one spectacular story! Tess Oliver’s new book is without a doubt one of my favorite reads of 2019 and you should all give it a chance. It’s an unforgettable tale that will have readers falling in love with these two talented leads!

Review – The Second We Met (Fulton U #2) by Maya Hughes

The Second We Met by Maya Hughes
Series: Fulton U #2
Genres: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 17, 2019
Buy Now: Amazon

Dear Jerk Across the Street, sorry for accidentally walking in on you and catching an eyeful of your—equipment. And hard pass on the open invitation to join you in the shower “anytime”, A-hole.

That’s the note I should’ve written. Instead I sent a pleasant and apologetic version.

Had I known Phoenix “Nix” Russo would’ve been the neighbor from hell, I’d have told him right where he could shove my words.

Nix is the big man on campus with everyone lined up at his games to make sure he knows it. Sure, he’s got piercing blue eyes, abs that don’t quit and a smile that could set fire to a set of panties from a hundred yards away, but he’s also the biggest pain in my ass.

Dear Pink-Haired Menace, learn how to take a joke and stop being such a kill-joy…

Elle Masterson called the cops on one of my parties—again. My sweet talking usually gets me out of trouble, but this time it got me into a nice pair of silver handcuffs. Now I’m on a reputation rehab tour with a stop at a spring break community service project.

Guess who’s my new boss?

Now we’re shoulder to shoulder, sweaty, tired and…she’s not anything like I expected. There might just be a heart under that hardass exterior. She’s invading my dreams and I can’t shake the feeling she’s the key to unlocking a piece of me that I’ve hidden away.

It’s only a matter of time until she finds out why I’m really here.

Maybe I can break through her walls and into her heart before that happens…one screw at a time.

The Second We Met is the second book in the Fulton U series by Maya Hughes and it was just as INCREDIBLE as the first book, maybe even slightly more. I am a SUCKER for an enemies-to-lovers romance and let’s just say that this story checked off every single one of my boxes when it comes to this trope. If you are a fan of this trope then you need to get your hands on this story, RIGHT NOW!

Nix and Elle’s story was an addictively captivating story that was full of sexy and hilarious moments between these two. Their back and forth banter wholeheartedly captured my heart, but it was their emotional connection that pulled tightly on all of my heartstrings, causing an intense ache deep in my chest. The steamy hot chemistry between them was absolutely EVERYTHING and I totally hope you all agree with me the second you meet them. They definitely have a HATE AT FIRST SIGHT moment as opposed to your typical LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, but that is what makes this story so amazing. You won’t be able to get enough of these two and even before their story comes to an end you will be begging for more.

This story is considered the second book in the Fulton U series and can certainly be enjoyed as a standalone read, although I do recommend reading the first book, The Perfect Firsts since Reece and Seph’s story is so obviously a MUST READ! Now I cannot FREAKING wait for the next book in the series, The Third Best Thing because I am so ready for more Maya Hughes originals! Her character development and storytelling ability is ALWAYS on point and I just know I will love it!

About Maya Hughes
