A nomad. A wallflower. A riptide of romance… Savannah enjoys living in the shelter of her best friend’s shadow. But when a mysterious accident sends her BFF into a coma, Savannah is left adrift. In search of a hobby to distract her, she takes up surfing but can’t keep her eyes off the hot new guy hiring out surfboards on the beach…

Griffin dreads the impending moment when the life he left behind washes up on shore. But the more time he spends with the irresistible Savannah, the easier it is to ignore his past. As he falls hard for the newbie surfer, he hopes the undercurrent of his secret doesn’t pull them both under.

As Savannah finds her voice, Griffin’s fear forces him to pull away. Can they overcome their past to keep their passion afloat?

The Impact Zone is the second book in Jordan Ford’s Ryder Bay series and I think I found myself falling even more in love with the author’s brilliant storytelling ability. This was a beautifully written and unique tale that wholeheartedly captivated my heart and left me absolutely breathless as I devoured page after page!

Savannah and Griffin’s story took us on an emotional journey full of heartbreaking moments that will stop you right in your tracks. They are two beautiful souls that have lost their way and find themselves again in each other. Savannah is a bit of a wallflower who is trying to cope after the accident of her best friend while Griffin is a nomad who is trying to escape his haunting past. Slowly a romance begins to form and life as they knew it will be forever changed.

This was an abso-freaking-lutely amazing story that had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. It was impossible to put this one down and now I am eagerly anticipating the final book in the series, Face of the Wave. I cannot wait to see what Skylar’s story has to hold!
