Synopsis

Willow Taylor lives in a castle with large walls and iron fences. But this is no ordinary castle. It’s called Heartstone Psychiatric Hospital and it houses forty other patients. It has nurses with mean faces and techs with permanent frowns.

It has a man, as well. A man who is cold and distant. Whose voice drips with authority. And whose piercing gray eyes hide secrets, and maybelinger on her face a second too long.

Willow isn’t supposed to look deep into those eyes. She isn’t supposed to try to read his tightly leashed emotions. And neither is she supposed to touch herself at night, imagining his powerful voice and that cold but beautiful face.

No, Willow Taylor shouldn’t be attracted to Simon Blackwood, at all.

Because she’s a patient and he’s her doctor. Her psychiatrist.

The medicine man.

WARNING: This book discusses sensitive issues including but not limited to, depression and suicide.

Review

Medicine Man by Saffron A. Kent is every forbidden romance readers dream. It’s the kind of story that screams forbidden, but it is done in such a tasteful manner that you forget all about that aspect. Sure this story might not be for every reader out there, but if this author keeps writing books as amazing as this one, I have no doubt in my mind that I will continue to devour her stories for years to come.

The author’s characters are always out of this world and unlike any set of characters that I have or will ever read about. Simon Blackwood and Willow Taylor own me whole body, heart and soul; I shall forever be captivated by their raw and complex love story. These two should have never been together, but fate always has a say in matters such as these. Their love is destined and written in the stars…I can just feel it deep in my soul. Simon and Willow have been branded into my heart and I will never be able to let these two truly go.

This is the kind of book that will swallow you whole and leave you wallowing in the intense emotions that this story will bring out of you. This is hands down Saffron A. Kent’s BEST book to date and even a week after reading it my heart is still under lock and key. Although I have managed to get through a few books since, nothing right now can even begin to compare to how I felt while reading this story. I have to say that this author ALWAYS seems to have that effect on me. Her writing is just so beautifully captivating that readers often struggle to move on right away.

Readers please trust me when I say that you need to go and one-click this story right now. Saffron A. Kent’s words will transport you into a world unlike anything you will ever experience. I am hoping and praying that we see more of the Heartstone Psychiatric Hospital in the near future because there are so many more characters that need their own stories! FINGERS CROSSED!
