This isn’t a story about a love triangle. There is no triangle involved.

This isn’t a story about an accidental pregnancy. Although having a baby with her…I would.

This isn’t a story about lies and deception, even though at times I’ve lied to myself.

No, this is my story.

A story about sacrifice.
A story about a man who fell in love with the wrong girl.
A story I wish I never had to tell.

This is a story about the true meaning of the downside of love.

That curveball was totally unexpected and yet such a defying moment in the Blue Line Duet. After that shock-worthy ending in The Upside of Falling I wasn’t sure if my heart was going to be able to handle what this story was going to throw at me, but of course my heart can handle just about anything at this point. I mean it would have to be after reading all of these angsty romances lately!

The Downside of Love is the highly anticipated conclusion in the Blue Line Duet by Meghan Quinn and perhaps one of the best books that I have EVER read! When I initially began this story I was slightly against some of the events happening, but the more I read the more I understood that there was no other way for this story to go. The author took this story in exactly the right direction it needed to go even if I was a little apprehensive at times, but now I can’t imagine it any other way.

As much as I adored the character development in book one, I feel as if I connected with them more in book two because I saw them in a whole new light. They captivated me and wiggled their way deep inside my heart. The chemistry was insanely hot and their connection was one of the strongest I have seen (read) in a long time. They took us on an emotionally journey that kept us (the readers) on the edge of our seats until the very end. Seriously the love these two shared was so beautiful and it was impossible not to devour this story in one sitting. Oh and don’t even get me started on that epilogue because I cannot wait to see what future the author has for those two!

The Downside of Love was a unique and unexpected conclusion to the Blue Line Duet! I cannot help but recommend the heck out of this book because it’s one of those duets that readers will love wholeheartedly!

About Meghan Quinn

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

  1. Outstanding review! I completely agree with what you said about the chemistry in this book. I adored the first book and was angry with how it ended, but Meghan Quinn did some major explaining in a way that was so amazing. I loved this. Now, I need that book she’s releasing in September that includes characters from this duet!!!
