When Jake walked into the tattoo shop Life in Ink, he had no idea his life was about to change. This time for the better. After his girlfriend left him and decided to raise their daughter with another man, Jake walked away to put the pieces of his life back together.
Charleigh knows she has what it takes to be the best artist in her uncle’s tattoo shop. If he’d only give her a chance. When Jake walked into the shop, she’s not sure why he gets under her skin. But he does, and she doesn’t like it.
Jake has to overcome his fear of living in his parents’ shadow and finally stand up to them, with Charleigh by his side. But Jake isn’t sure he’ll be able to push aside his jealousy and raise his daughter. Will his pride get in the way? Or will he finally become the man he wants to be?
As much as I loved the first two books in this standalone series, I think that Ways to Go might be my FAVORITE! In Welcome to Your Life I wasn’t a huge fan of Jake’s, but this book totally redeemed him in my eyes. He finally decided to man up and take responsibility for his actions.
Jake and Charleigh were an unexpected match, but they could not be more perfect for each other. I think Jake needed someone like her in his life. The moment these two connected for the first time it is definitely an eyeopener for the both of them. Oh and don’t even get me started on that hilarious tattoo Charleigh gives him that night he stumbles into the tattoo shop Life in Ink. One of the BEST scenes ever My only complaint is that this story ended way to soon because I wanted more of these two!
Although this series can technically be read as standalones, I would strongly suggest reading them all in order because you will get a ton of great backstory.
