They call him The Mute for a reason.
Hard, cold and calculated, he rarely speaks.
When he does, it’s with disdain.
When he does, his words aren’t meant for me.
When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis.
He is thirty-three.
I am eighteen.
He’s a single dad and my father’s business partner.
I’m just a kid to him and his enemy’s daughter.
He’s emotionally unavailable.
And I am…feeling. Feeling things I shouldn’t feel for him.
Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn’t just on the wall, it’s inked on my soul.
And yet, I can’t stay away.
A scandal is the last thing my family needs. But a scandal is what we’re going to give them.
And oh, what beautiful chaos it will be.

These HotHoles have FOREVER destroyed me for all other men (book and real life boyfriends)…I know we might have been warned, but I didn’t think that it was possible because I’ve been falling in love with book boyfriends for years now. Seriously why did L.J. Shen make these HotHoles so dang irresistible. I cannot even begin to decide which one I like more because they are all equally addictive!

Trent…oh my dear sweet Trent. You my dear have captivated my heart in a new way just like Vicious, Ruckus and Jamie have done before you. Each of you HotHoles hold your own special place deep in my heart and I shall keep you all there until the end of time. I am sorry to say this ladies, but these HotHoles are ALL MINE! Your claim on them are now null and void because there is no way I am not claiming them all for myself…you can all still look but you mustn’t touch 😉.

Trent Rexroth…I mean come on even saying his name instantly melts my heart. This man is sinfully silent and I think in many ways that appeals to me in so many ways. He is one of those characters that bulldozes his way deep inside your heart and holds onto every single emotion you have and will ever have both during and long after finishing his story! His love for his daughter Luna is breathtakingly beautiful and radiates right off the pages. You can tell that he cares deeply!

Edie Van Der Zee…she might only be eighteen years old, but she already has the weight of the world on her young shoulders. Her heart is rough and jagged and it will take a strong man to fight through to repair it. She is an independent soul who is trapped under her father’s thumb. I found myself internalizing her pain and was wholeheartedly invested in her struggles, wanting to fix them all even though I knew I couldn’t!

Now let me just tell you that Trent and Edie’s connection is explosive and they have the kind of love that knows no bounds. Trust me when I say that their love is one that burns deeply and leaves you on edge. Their romance is Scandalous and that is why readers will fall in love every step of the way! LJ Shen you have certain outdone yourself this time and I cannot wait for the next book in the series! Bring on BANE!

About L.J. Shen

L.J. Shen is an International #1 best-selling author of Contemporary Romance and New Adult novels. She lives in Northern California with her husband, young son and chubby cat.

Before she’d settled down, L.J. (who thinks referring to herself in the third person is really silly, by the way) traveled the world, and collected friends from all across the globe. Friends who’d be happy to report that she is a rubbish companion, always forgets peoples’ birthdays and never sends Christmas cards.

She enjoys the simple things in life, like spending time with her family and friends, reading, HBO, Netflix and internet-stalking Stephen James. She reads between three to five books a week and firmly believes Crocs shoes and mullets should be outlawed.
