They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They’re right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister’s ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived.
Hopefully, he isn’t too late.

They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest. They’re right.
She sets my mind on fire.
All smart mouth, snarky attitude and a huge heart.
In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
And conquering her will be the sweetest victory.

I thought Vicious had destroyed me for all future book boyfriends, but Ruckus captivated my heart in a whole new light. My goodness I am so in LOVE with these HotHoles and I think they have RUINED me for all other men. L.J. Shen what are you doing to my poor heart? I don’t think I can possible handle the next book in the Sinners of Saint, but I shall surely push on because I love this series so freaking much!

I must admit that when I was reading Vicious and Emilia’s story I kind of despised Dean Cole…aka Ruckus…because those two were truly meant to be together and probably would have sooner if it weren’t for him. However, once I got his side of the story and discovered how compassionate he was I quickly changed my tune and found myself loving this man. As much as he wanted to deny it, there is no denying how caring and protective he is to those he loves. The flashbacks to his high school years really opened my eyes to him and they were some of my favorite scenes in the book. He loved Rosie since he first laid eyes on her, but of course a certain relationship happened and it took them 11 long years to FINALLY end up together…so many wasted years I must say.

Now Rosie. What can I say other than this girl was my ultimate leading lady. She was one of the sweetest characters I ever read and she is the only one capable of securing Dean’s heart. If you have read Vicious then you might recall hearing about Rosie’s declining health, but nothing could have prepared me for the extreme side effects she had to face. She is hands down one of the strongest female characters I have read in a long time and my heart bled each time she fell ill. I had no clue if her illness would steal her last breath during this story which left me in pain until I reached that bittersweet ending…

Ruckus and Baby LeBlanc were such a perfect match and I was totally rooting these two on right from the very beginning. This story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation with every twist and turn. I could hardly contain my excitement throughout and found myself head over heels in love with this story! I totally considered bugging LJ Shen many times with all my thoughts because I had so many freaking things running through my mind. You have truly outdone yourself with this incredible story!
